The Long Awaited Wedding!

So, I just realized that I never posted this post, and I don't even really know if I finished it, but here it is. . .

After less than 5 days of being back in Provo, I flew back home for Carri and Palmer's wedding. Only having one day before the wedding, we worked all day to get all the last minute things done. I helped Krista with her main project for the day, which was making the birds for the top of the cake, and it seriously took ALL DAY! After some ingenuity and finagling, we got them done, and in my opinion they were the best part of the whole thing :).
So, Saturday morning we woke up bright and early to get ready for the day. As soon as I put my dress on I realized just how horrible it was. In general it wasn't too bad, but I seriously looked like I had a humpback! In the front I was swimming, and I even had enough room to put my purse in there. After some help, we managed to pin it so it wasn't too bad from the front, but lets just say I'll never be wearing that thing again! (To show my hatred, after the reception I threw my dress in my room, and didn't pack it to take back to provo with me.)

It was fun to get to go the temple, and although we had to wait a long time for Carri and Palmer (there were two other weddings at the same time) it was fun to see them as they came out of the temple. After we took all the family photos and whatnot, I stayed to help the photographer take a bazillon photos of the new couple. The photo above is one of my atempts to catch them in the shot, definitely professional quality. . . haha. . .

It seemed like time flew betweent the luncheon and the reception, and before I knew it the reception had begun. It was really nice getting to see all the people who came to celebrate with us. After mixing and mingling for a while, Palmer played two songs on the piano. The first song was one he had writen and the second one was a funny one. I wasn't thinking, so I only recorded the second song, but im glad I did because it was awesome. I tried to put it on here so you could enjoy it too, but it never worked.

So, here a a bunch of the pictures that I took at the reception, including the pom poms, center pieces, the wall of parents and grandparents pictures, among many other. . . Oh yeah, and please take a moment to enjoy the false ceiling which almost drove Lacy, Patty, Lisa, and my parents crazy trying to get to work.
